We work purposefully to reduce the burden on the environment. Cooperation has therefore begun with the Royal Institute of Technology, ETM Kylteknik AB and Viessmann värmeteknik AB in Stockholm.

We replaced the ship’s oil-fired boiler with an environmental friendly heat pump. Our energy source to the heat pump is the water in Stockholms Ström (Actual water in the harbour) through a heat exchanger located below the water. The system is complemented with effective solar collectors on the top deck.

The return water is passing through a vattenmantlad wood stove in the ship’s galley/kitchen. Warming may be accompanied by burning green pellets.

All transport to and from the ship is done with the project’s environmentally friendly electric car. Thus, we are helping to reduce emissions of carbon dioxide and particulates in the air.
The environment is everyone’s responsibility and everyone must contribute to its preservation for future generations.
