Association
Project S/S Orion's friends was formed in 1992 and is an international association with two sections. The main section in Stockholm works with the restoration of the ship and social work. The other section works with sailing operations in Färentuna. Through the association's creation, a wide contact network has been able to be built up, which has contributed to making the naval history project possible. Through the project the association works with Frivården, Stockholm's Youth Service and Arbetsförmedlingen.
All members and other interested parties are always welcome on board for a visit to the historic steamship. S/S Orion is located at Söder Mälarstrand 77, kajplats 20.

OBJECTIVE
The aim is that in the future the management of the museum ship S/S Orion will be transferred to a foundation in order to ensure the steamship's further maintenance and operation. This foundation, whose name is Orion af Stockholm, shall be managed by a board with its seat in Stockholm. The steamship was K-marked in 2003 by the Swedish Maritime Museums.
